From the January 30th to February 2nd, over 350 engineering students from 11 universities from across Quebec will gather at Concordia University in Montreal, for the Quebec Engineering Competition (QEC).
The province wide competition is supervised by the Quebec Confederation for Engineering Student Outreach (QCESO), and aims to challenge future engineers to compete in various technical competitions that promotes innovation and problem solving in the engineering fields.
The City of Montreal, the largest city in Quebec, is at the center of environmental and technical issues. Currently in a period of innovation in order to become an ecologically-responsible city, this metropolis is focused on developing sustainable projects with cutting edge technology, bringing together all fields of engineering. Our theme;
“Montreal: Update in progress…,”
is inspired by this idea. Participants will challenge themselves by finding solutions to reduce greenhouse gases, developing a “Smart City”, and help plan for sustainable urban development.
